[Mirra] fading trails

nice, now i at least know where to look! i feel it's pretty deep for me to
dig in but i'll give it a go. seems more doable than writing a new trail
function anyway; copying the same instance of an object over and over while
blending it more and more really makes my cpu melt.. ;)
